In my paintings, there are always little, yet significant figurative details within a mainly abstract approach. I like the immersion into color and matter and I like the impact large paintings have. But I also like when some figurative references trigger imagination. Like tracks that would tell the viewers of my paintings where to follow- like a compass of the spirit.
I think every artist expresses through their art their personal mythology. Mine is made of the perfumes of the South of France, pine trees and eucalyptus...Mine is made of the light of Summertime and the different hues of blue of the blue sea that I try to give back in my paintings, with all the shades of happiness that life gave me. Mine is made of the vibrations of the big cities, the energy of the world and my downtown memories, that I try to render in its great beauty. Mine is made of homes where we could live a perfect happiness that exists only into dreams or into moments of eternity...
